Nexus 5 Android Lollipop 5.1.1 build update, news .

Sprint announced a new build of Android 5.1.1 for the Nexus 5 - LMY48B - on its software update page. The update was made available May 13, so it should be on Sprint branded Nexus 5's very shortly. The update lists nothing other than an ''update to Android 5.1.1'' and ''security enhancements'' as new features.
The T-Mobile Nexus 5 update arrived in the form of Android 5.1 in mid-March.

Meanwhile, the LMY471 build of Android 5.1 for the Nexus 5 is available on the Nexus factory image page. It appears to be a minor update which irons out a few small bugs. If you already have Android 5.1, it's probably not worth installing unless you're experiencing problems with it.
The most prominent features of Android 5.1 are support for multiple SIM cards, HD voice calls on compatible phones, and Device Protection. The latter feature locks your phone until you sign in with your Google account, even if it's reset to factory settings. This could prove a great tool in the fight to discourage phone theft.
